YOUTH SPOTLIGHT
CHRISTOPHER ALBERTO GONZALEZ
I am 14 years old. My parents are Alberto and Jackie
Gonzalez. I go to school at Marietta Middle School and I am
in the 8th grade. I like to make good grades and help
people. I have been going to FCC, Marietta since early
2005. My favorite food is fajitas. My favorite game is
football. I like to collect quarters. I love this church
because I learn about God and everybody respects me. My
talents include football, singing, and playing video games.
I have 2 dogs and I am very responsible for them. I
appreciate everything that this church does for me. I
appreciate that they paid for me to go to camp last year.
It was a lot of fun.
CHARLES ALEXANDER HUDSON
I am 9 years old. My parents are Carla and Charles Hudson.
I go to school at Marietta Elementary and I am in the 3rd
grade. I like to play basketball. I have been going to FCC,
Marietta since I was born. My favorite food is chicken. My
favorite game is Game Cube. I like to collect bottle caps.
I love this church because I can learn a lot. My talents
include basketball.
OUTREACH PROGRAM
You, the members of this church are the outreach program.
When you put your "ONE DOLLAR BILLS" in the collection
plate,

~ you help those in monetary need,
~ you help send our kids to camp.

FIESTA TIME
Vacation Bible School will be July 10 - 14 from 5:45pm -
8:45pm at the First United Methodist Church. This years
theme is Mexican Fiesta. If you have any decorations that
fit the theme or if you want to help in any way see Carla
Hudson.
SUMMER CAMP
It is time for our youth to start thinking about summer
camp again. This year we have the potential for ten kids
to attend. The average cost of camp is $200. If every
eligible child attends, the total cost for the church will
be $2,000. 100% of the cost will be paid for members. The
Youth have had fundraisers during the year and the first
$1,000 will come from funds they have raised. The Outreach
Committee is also going to help with part of the cost. If
you would like to help a kid go to camp you can also make a
donation. Indicate that it is for camp and give it to
Curtis Cochran or Beth Willis.
The dates for this years camps are:
Chi Rho (6th-7th-8th grades) *June 25th-30th
Discovery (2nd-3rd grades) *July 20th-23rd
Junior (3rd-4th-5th grades)*June 19th-23rd
CWF MEETING
CWF had their last meeting of the season Sunday May 21,
2006 at 5:00 p.m. at Darlene Beardsley's house. This was a
great time of fellowship for those in attendance. New
officers for the 2006-2007 year were elected. President,
Darlene Beardsley; Vice-President, Carol Baird;
Secretary/Treasurer, Beth Willis; Worship Leader, Alice
Cochran; Outreach Coordinator, Yvone McGinnis. Our first
meeting of the new season will be September 10, 2006 at
5:00 p.m. at the church.
FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
First Christian Church hosted three movie nights during the
month of May. Everyone in attendance enjoyed the films,
food and friends. We will have our next movie night Friday
June 2, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. We will be showing The
Chronicles of Narnia. Popcorn and drinks will be provided
and we encourage everyone to attend.
