SUCCESSFUL LENTEN SEASON
The Worship Team would like to thank everyone involved in
ensuring we had a great Lenten Season. During Holy Week,
many in the church were busy preparing, planning,
organizing and attending the Seder Meal, The Tenebre'
Service, Good Friday Service, Eastern Sun Services, Easter
Breakfast and a wonderful Easter Service. We hope that your
life was touched by the efforts done by all to bring this
together. ~ Carla

THANK YOU!
Thank you to Pastor Craig, Beth Willis, Curt Cochran and
Margaret Willis for making the Easter Sunday 99th birthday
party for Agnes Anderson such a success.

The cake that Margaret made as a gift was so delicious.
Beth and Curt did a great job of setting up the Fellowship
Hall and serving punch and cake.

Craig and Curt transported Agnes to and from the nursing
home and she appreciated it so much. Craig also graciously
took a family group picture. Agnes, her family and visitors
enjoyed the day.

Thanks again to everyone.

year! The following kids donated their time to work the
garage sale: Conner, Shane, Alex, Morgan, McKenzie, Kendra,
Bibiana, Sarah and Tate. Thanks to: Ro, Carrie, Craig,
Darlene, Ryan, Skye, Curtis and Beth for helping as well.

CHOIR NOTES
Have you noticed anything new with the choir? We have
changed our Introit to "Our God is An Awesome God", a title
off of our upcoming VBS music trax. Over the next few
weeks, we will incorporate songs from the upcoming VBS.
These songs are more contemporary and very upbeat. We do
hope that you enjoy them enough to join us for VBS!

LAWN MOWING SCHEDULE
Mowing the church lawn is scheduled to be done by
volunteers this summer. By doing the work ourselves we will
save $900 to $1000 this summer. Anyone desiring to help
with the mowing please contact Jerry Cochran 276-5486 or
276-7074. There is also a sign-up sheet in the fellowship
hall.

LOVE COUNTY SENIOR SINGLES
The Love County Senior Singles, sponsored by Jerry Dutsch
and Pat Burkett meet the first Thursday of each month in
the church fellowship hall. The purpose of this activity
is to play games and enjoy the fellowship of other older
singles. We appreciate the use of the church. We also
meet three other times during the month to plan activities,
attend dances at Madill and outings in other towns. We
have enjoyed trips to the Turner Falls Arts and Crafts
Festival, Gene Autry Museum, and picnic at Chickasaw
National Park in Sulphur. Anyone interested in attending
please contact Jerry or Pat.

SPECIAL OFFERING FOR THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
Dear Church Family:
If you are like me, you live on a budget and have to plan
for upcoming events. Well, I am asking you to start
planning. By a suggestion given to the Worship Team by a
member of the church, we will be hosting a "Love Offering"
to be given to The American Cancer Society. Many of us in
the last few months have been touched by cancer. Some
directly, some in-directly. As a result, we've lost loved
ones and friends and we've rejoiced in the healing and/or
remission of others. On June 3rd and June 10th, we will
accept donations to ACS. Envelopes will be placed in the
pews and can be placed in the offering plate. You can
specify either a memorial or in honor of, or you can give a
donation with no name. The American Cancer Society will
receive all funds given with a list of names that are
specified. You may also give your donation directly to
Curtis or Beth. This is our opportunity as a church family
to help support an organization that is for the good of
many.
Thanks for your consideration. ~Worship Committee

DWF - APRIL MEETING REPORT
Eleven women enjoyed the DWF meeting, Sunday, April 15.

For the program Pat Burkett recalled her time of staying in
Kenya, Africa, the mission study for 2006 -2007. Pat
reported she was so impressed with the kindness of the
people. They are very spiritual and it showed in everything
they did. The group enjoyed hearing about her experiences.

Beth was hostess and the refreshments were delicious. The
May meeting will be scheduled for the 3rd Sunday at 5:00 PM
at the church. All women are invited to attend.

NURSERY ATTENDANTS NEEDED

the nursery from 9:45 to the end of church. You will have a
junior helper with you. If you need to split a week with
someone that would be great!
Nursery Requirements: Children Kindergarten and under are
welcome in the nursery.

greeters job is just that, to greet everyone as they come

sign in the visitors book. You are asked to stay in the
Narthex until the beginning of the 2nd hymn.

COMMUNION PREPARATION
There is still December available!
Just bring your juice and put things together! All other

CUB SCOUTS PLANT TREE
As part of their forestry requirement the Cub Scout Pack 32
Webelos den under the direction of their den leader Curtis
Cochran, planted a tree on the west side of the church.
This tree was planted to replace a tree that had died. The
tree planted is a bald cypress. It is a fast growing shade
tree that will be an asset to our lawn. The Webelos meet
every Monday night at the church.
